dodgers, acorn and hicks

i should have stayed for today's game, i bring luck to the dodgers when i am there, they have won every time i went this year but our bull pen imploded tonight and now they have to win 3 straight from a very good team. can be done but is unlikely. go dodgers.

here in nevada ACORN's offices were raided and much ado was made about false voter registrations but when the smoke had cleared the so called fraud was just bullshit. here is what happened: people are hired as voter registers and are paid 8.10 per hour with no quota's but the unofficial quota was 20 regs per day. now some of these pollsters or whatever you wish to call them were felons out on work release and some were college students and some were elderly but the common denominator was they all needed the money so what some of them did was make up names and addresses and ss numbers and turned them in as real deals. now, this hurts nobody. no one can vote with these false registrations because these people don't exist, no one has id for these names, no one of that name lives at that address. they were done just so the person doing the registering could keep their 8.10 per hour job. big fucking deal. but oh, the uproar. oh, the hand wringing. oh, the accusations. oh, the bullshit.

i am going to make some short videos and post them on utube with stories about bill hicks that i know and are not part of the public record. two of them have been published here on this blog; the chicken story out of mississippi and the ferret story in louisiana. rhonda and i came up with 6 really good stories about bill that i am sure his fans will really enjoy. i was not bill's "best" friend (over the last decade and a half i have run across dozens of people who claimed to be one of bill's best friends whose name i never heard bill mention.) but i was a real good friend of his and he was the man i loved and admired more than any other person i have ever known. i want to add to his legacy and show some sides of bill that i feel have been missed in the 3 or 4 books that have been written about him and the comedy scene in houston in the 80's. stay tuned.

oh well, back at home from l.a. and getting ready to go back out on the road day after tomorrow...so see some of you in houston and some of you in chattanooga.

rock and roll and peace to us all.

And the recent news of ACORN registering Mickey Mouse to vote - more bullshit I'm sure, right. Probably a vast right wing conspiracy.

ACORN is under investigation in a dozen states. I'm sure all of those are bogus too. The demorats are known for voter fraud. It is the reason they consistantly fight the requirement of ID to vote. We have to have it everywhere else - to cash a check, get on a plane, or just go about our daily lives. But vote for the most important office in the world - no, we have to allow felons, dead people, and now Mickey Mouse to vote for B. Hussein Obama. Actually, the Mickey Mouse vote is prophetic.

Polish up the blinders Ron. They look good on you.

More bullshit Ron...

http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/cuyahoga/1223973289273860.xml&coll=2

Or how about this one... more bullshit Ron? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122394051071230749.html?mod=djemEditorialPage
"During his tenure on the board of Chicago's Woods Fund, that body funneled more than $200,000 to Acorn. More recently, the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an Acorn affiliate. The campaign initially told the Federal Election Commission this money was for "staging, sound, lighting." It later admitted the cash was to get out the vote."

ACORN is a dirty, corrupt, liberal organization. But with you, there is always justification for them.

Could it be Ron, could it be that maybe the endless evidence that ACORN is a hub of voter fraud has some merit? A random accusation here or there, OK. But dozens of cases?

It's funny how a little thing against conservatives gets press for days. Major events against liberals gets nothing.

How about the story of the guy who replace Mark Foley, now has been accused of his own sex scandal? Hear about that? Has it covered the front pages? Of course not. Foley has been cleared of all wrong doing, but did the liberal media care? Nope. They put in on the front page for weeks and purposely held the story until right before the election. But let the same exact thing happen in the same exact district against a democrat and the story gets buried.

But arguing with you is truly pointless. The more this country moves towards socialism, the happier you become.

Any suggestion for which Houston show to catch? Will probably need to be one of the weekend shows for us.

all i can tell you is what happened here in las vegas. mickey mouse probably won't get by the poll workers but disney has always been a big republican supporter anyway.

yes, i will be happier as we move towards more socialism. i have been to socialist europe and they are quite happy with such things as national health care, worker protections, cradle to grave education benefits, etc. could it be that is why their "quality of life" measurements are so much higher than ours. could it be that the european people live longer, are better educated, have more leasure time, get up to 12 weeks of vacation per year and are much happier than the grumpy americans...especially those on the right like you, joe. you, who never have something positive to say, you, who are never FOR something but always AGAINST something. you look for the vast left wing conspiracy in everything. you, who think that homeless people and ex felons should not vote. who gets to vote in your world, joe, rich, white republicans? god forbid someone of color gets to buy a house or gets to vote.

yes, i am for the left side of the political spectrum because i think the "left" cares more and does more for the average person than the "right" side does. i do not however, think that only democrats have the answers, i would want people from all persuasions to get involved. too much of our government energy is spent in getting people re-elected other than getting things done. i have spoken rather harshly about some of the hacks in the democrat party so i am not totally partisan. i am a leftist. no doubt. and fucking proud of it.

don't worry joe, you will do better during an obama presidency than you have done during the bush presidency. but then again, mickey mouse would have made a better president than bush. you are a bush supporter aren't you? you are a mc cain supporter aren't you? you have, to my memory, never said.....could it be you aren't really for anything but just against whatever i am for? but when i say, "peace to us all" you get included joe.

no, foley didn't do anything wrong. yeah, right. and the scum bag that followed him at least is fucking women and not young boys.

Here's a good one for ya, Joe:

"And the McCain campaign's complaints now are puzzling, ACORN says, because two years ago McCain was the keynote speaker at an immigration reform rally ACORN co-sponsored in Miami. "In 2006," Kettenring said, "we were working together."

You are free to be a socialist, but I will fight you every bit of the way. If you like socialist Europe, maybe you should go there. America was built on socialism and real Americans will fight you every bit of it.

I'd rather make my own way in the world. I don't want Obama taking care of me. I don't want to have George Bush control my health care, do you? B. Hussein won't be president forever you know. I don't want Bush in charge of my retirement either.

Socialism has ultimately failed everywhere it's been tried. America is the greatest country in the world, not Europe, not Cuba, not Russia. At least you've finally admitted what you truly are and where your blind following of another true socialist really comes from.

No, I won't be better under B. Hussein unless you consider your life to be better when it is controlled by others. I don't. I never will and either will other true Americans.

I think a president who associates with known terrorist, who actively worked on boards that funded ACORN and the racist Jeramiah Wright are traitors of the highest order. So yes, I"ll vote for a patriot like John McCain over a traitor like B. Hussein Obama every time.

Obviously I meant to say America was NOT built on socialist in my previous post.

tiptone,

a good rule of thumb is that the saturday's shows are the best but thursday shows can be REAL good because i am not under any kind of time restraint and so, if audience is good, i can do much more time. the one and only show to avoid is friday late show. (trust me on this)

Too late, Joe. When our government nationalized the banks, we officially became a socialist nation. Just because they bought the banks (rather than just taking) them, doesn't make it any less nationalized, or socialist.
