sirius radio, serious politics, little dick hillary haters and more on maverick

the sirius radio show looks better now that i have more information about the people involved. the man i would be working for has a multi decade background in radio and the money people behind it are heavy duty plus the head of this channel seems to have a close relationship with the second in command at sirius itself. in addition, i came with high recommendations from the man in charge of the tv side (which i may end up doing a show there too). this is a new start up channel similar to the playboy channel on tv but for radio. it will be offered as part of an add on package for subscribers to sirius with the goal of being part of the general package in the long run.

i am supposed to meet the head honcho for lunch tomorrow or friday and hopefully cut demo tape at the beginning of next week. according to my sources, if the demo goes well we, kathleen and i, will be offered a contract on the spot. here's hoping!

for my fans in the atlanta market i will not be going back to the funny farm this year and don't know about next year. i may call the punch line there but if the radio show comes to be i probably will not do any road work except at my all time favorites. once again, we shall see. the speaking tour is, as of right now, on hold because we failed to get together this past month due to scheduling problems on the other side.

the candidates will soon be off to south carolina where the republicans will, once again, try to convince working people to vote against their own self interest. the only reason republicans have any chance of being elected dog catcher is the evangelical vote which, not thinking for itself, will blindly follow what they are told. the bush years may signal the end of the neo-con right wing of the republican party since their candidates are more to the middle this year. hell, rudy has a horrible family history which should make him not exceptable to the religious right but their hypocricy knows no bounds and they may vote for a thrice married candidate. (so much for FAMILY values...voting for a man who has public affairs while married and whose children HATE him)

and for all the people who are so enamored of ron paul, you ought to look into his racist writings in his news letters over the past couple of decades. while he has some good ideas, ending the war in iraq immediately, ending the so-called war on drugs (which is really a war on civil liberties), and admiting some fault for 9-11 because of our constant meddling in the middle east his views on race and immigration make him unfit for the presidency. he is a fringe candidate and should remain so.

i am amazed at the venom spewed forth against hillary clinton. there are some people, mostly men, who are deathly afraid of a woman being president. they attack her for being ambitious. well, duh. all politicians are ambitious. merely by wanting to be president of the united states of america labels anyone ambitious. i think most men who are against her must have really little dicks and are afraid she has a bigger one. i, for one, like hillary clinton and would not mind her at all being president. besides, it may give rush limbaugh a heart attack or at least up his pill addition to 100 or so per day. but then again, anyone who takes that man seriously has a real problem with critical thinking 101.

maverick had his stitches taken out today and we are having some blood work done to check his "counts" but i think he is fine. we will know for sure tomorrow afternoon.

as soon as we figure out how to do it, we are going to post some pictures here on the website or on the blog and many will feature mr. maverick.

You say Ron Paul is a racist. Was he ever a womanizer?

So is the only reason you don't like Ron Paul because of some cherry picked comments from 15 years ago?

You list some of his ideas in your post that you think are good, ending the war on drugs, his stance on iraq. Some other big ones I think you left out, his stance on limited government, cutting gov spending, and closing gov departments that are wasting money and there jobs should be replaced and controlled by the free market. Oh yeah, don't forget letting people opt out of social security, which we nvr should of been forced into in the first place.

I'm not saying Ron Paul is perfect, alot of his ideas would take years for the US to transition to, which I don't think he could do even if he had 2 terms, but I think he is the most straight forward candidate out there, he answers questions directly, and in my opinion prob the best candidate when it comes to focusing on the economy, and the problems facing the people in this country, and not in the middle east.

From one of your previous posts:
ron paul is the only republican that has any concrete ideas and the courage to tell the truth so he is unelectable.

If thats your stance, then your apart of the problem.

So besides your quote listed above, what do you dislike about Ron Paul?

Non Politics: Big Fan of your comedy, and I hope the sirius deal works out for you, I would defn listen to it.

actually, some of things you have listed as positive about mr. paul, i take as a negative. i, for one, do not want the "free market" handling government duties. we, that is you and i, have a different view of the role of government. you think government is too big and too intrusive and should be minimized. (at least that is what i think you think and i am, of course, condensing to the extreme here) while i am much more of a socialist (for lack of better term) i don't government to do less per se, i want to do what they do better and more efficiently. we could probably both write books or at least quote them to back up our respective opinions. let us agree to disagree on this. as far as his attributed racist views, some of them were, in my opinion, extreme and very insulting and very inflamatory. not what i would want in any person of power in the usa. these were from his own newsletters. not cherry picked. nor taken out of context. now, i must admit, the original source was the national review which is a mouthpiece for the republican establishment and therefore i must give a "publisher's discount" because they are not above planting false evidence.

i hope the radio deal works too.

thanks for writing and sharing your thoughts.

Obama, in his interview with the Reno Gazzete-Journal's editorial board, made the case that his movement is as much about a national moment as about him as a "singular" individual, and he drew a rather bold analogy for a Democrat: Ronald Reagan.
"Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not, and a way that Bill Clinton did not" he said, describing Reagan as appealing to a sentiment that, "We want clarity, we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing".
Obama wants to be Ronald Reagan. He's running on the clarity and dynamism ticket. What in fuck's name is saying?

I think the federal gov should be more limited and they should focus
more on specific goals/problems, such as national defense, immigration,
foreign policy. But I defn think the federal gov should be making less
laws, giving the states more power to rule themselves. I also think that
the federal gov should be respecting state laws more than they currently
do. I don't think there is anyway the 'free market' could take over
certian gov duties and be more efficient over night, but in the long
run, I think many of the roles of government could be reduced and
handled that way. It seems to me, that the federal gov is trying to do to much, and it's broad role in many aspects of society actually make it less efficient at what it does, and causes federal spending to go up. I'm not nessasarly saying we should get rid of income tax completly as Mr Paul suggests, I mean they have to get money somehow for national defense and the military. But why should they take 1/3 of my salery to pay for others medical expenses, student grants that I did not qualify for, a war to control the middle east, or for congress to spend weeks arguing about sex education. I think alot of what the federal gov does should be done at the state or local level of gov. If not, the people have lost there power of the government, because I don't think congress represents us very well, especially with the executive branch bypassing the check's and balance set in place at the birth of this country.

At any rate, I agree to disagree with lots of people, and enjoy listening to others opinions and views about anything and everything. So keep posting, and throw in some more poker updates.

A MUSLIM CALLED OBAMA HAS ZERO CHANCE OF GETTING ELECTED! A VOTE FOR HIM IS A VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICANS!

THE FRESHMAN SENATOR NEEDS TO GO BACK TO ILLINOIS AND DO HIS JOB AND SERVE THE PEOPLE THAT ELECTED HIM. HE NEEDS TO PAY HIS DUES LIKE HILLARY DID.

OBAMA'S SENATE VOTING RECORD IS TO THE RIGHT OF HILLARY AND HIS PLATFORM IS UNCLEAR.

IS HE REALLY A MUSLIM? SHOULD HE GET NOMINATED, THE REPUBLICAN SMEAR MACHINE WILL HAVE EVERYONE CONVINCED HE IS. HE CERTAINLY WAS BORN MUSLIM AND THAT'S ENOUGH TO OIL THE GEARS.

if you think for a minute that the republican attack machine is not going to go after hillary with all guns blazing...think again. she is the devil incarnate to those people. that is only thing that worries me should hillary get nominated, that she won't get elected because of the hatefilled crap that will come out of elephant land and on the old theory that is you throw enough shit against the wall some of it will stick. the people next to us at the obama rally say to my wife, "you know about all those people the clintons had killed!" that kind of shit. i, personally, like hillary clinton and think she will/would do a great job as president, she is tough as nails and has been through the wars before. she has many, many contacts overseas and, of course, the world liked bill (much to the chagrin of the right wing). if obama does not get the nomination i will do everything i can to get hillary elected.

Mr. Ron Shock,

You write that Hillary is hated therefore you help spread the myth that Hillary is hated via your blog.

Relax because she's not hated as much as the Republicans will have you believe.

By gosh if the Republicans hate her so much she's worth my support.

Following your logic you think we should vote for someone the Republicans like.

love

Linda

linda,

i don't think it is a myth but your point is well taken. i do hope in my heart of hearts that you are right. after watching her organization here in nevada i must admit she and her followers have their "shit" together. she waged a great campaign.

i don't think republicans would like any democrat, these are the people who denigrated max cleland, a man who lost both his legs in vietnam, as "unpatriotic." there is no limit to the "hate" factor in some republicans. i would like to see obama as our nominee because i think he can bring more independents over and more republicans over to the 'our' side than hillary can. i want the democrats to win in a LANDSLIDE in november, sweeping not only the presidency but both houses of congress and i think obama at the top of the ticket can do this. i could be wrong, trust me, i have been wrong before. and, as i have said before, i would support hillary heart and soul if she is our nominee.

thanks for your letter, you brought up a good point, i won't spread the "myth" any more.

love,

ron
