a teaser
so, on the way home, i am sitting next to a gentleman who is reading CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR and we get to talking about the book, but not to any great depth.
when i get home, i realize that i haven't read the last two chapters of the book. i read them. tonight, i read them. man oh man.
next, i am going to go see the movie this week and see how close to the book it is.
the book is akin to one of my "stories" in as that, it seems to be just this great story that is going to have a happy ending, so to speak, but, wait! unintented consequences rears its ugly head.
i don't want to go into it tonight without having seen the movie.

I saw you back on 1996 in Sacramento, CA. I didn't remember your name until very recently when I heard your Oral Roberts story on Sirius radio. I had remembered the story but forgotten your name. You must have gone on for over 2 hours that night. The night sticks out for me because it was one of the first dates that I had with the lady who would become my wife. scott, you probably will have to catch me at the new club on hilton head island way down in south carolina, it is one of the very few southeastern gigs that i do any more. the club in raliegh used to be real good but then they got a new owner....
