nevada, south carolina and the angel from heaven

well, caucusing was interesting and our little neighborhood had a turnout of about 160 which i don't think was bad at all considering that the caucus idea is new here (and should be replaced by a real primary...but that is another story). at our place it was 8 delegates for hillary and 6 for obama and edwards did not get enough to qualify. everyone was cordial and happy to have such good choices. (we did hear of one caucus location where the hillary and obama camps got into a shouting match and the chairperson just closed the caucus and sent everyone home)

mc cain in south carolina may spell the end of the huckabee threat. i don't think he has the money or organization to carry on. same for thompson but i think he may stay in until florida but south carolina was supposed his bellweather state and he came in a distant third which does not give him much credibility.

i am down to about 5-7 cigarettes per day which is great but the damn pills make me so sleepy that i can't get anything done and haven't even gone to play poker because i am too drowsly to pay attention at the tables and that would be costly. no limit requires paying attention. in limit i could play half asleep and win but not at this game.

one of my chantix dreams was really cool on many different levels. i dreamed an angel came down from heaven with beautiful white feathery wings and we went together to a fundalmentalist church where they were quite freaked out since the angel was a monkey.

and with that, a good night.

I cannot understand your ongoing, benighted infatuation with Obama. He is obviously shallow and evasive, a salesman and probably a con artist.

I really liked the Nader letter; he was right on target about Obama. And contrary to what you said, he was indeed funny (and a lot funnier than most of your recent blog postings).

You keep asking us whom we would support if not Obama, and we keep telling you, Ron Paul. You then dismiss him as a racist and a fringe candidate, which is strikingly hypocritical on your part, given that just a few months ago you were extolling his virtues in this very blog.

And finally, although you invite contrary opinions and claim that this is what makes America great, your typical response is to tell those who disagree with you to “fuck off”. Of course they won’t; instead, they’ll just stop reading what you have to say.

here we go again, the peope who wrote in and attacked my support for obama did not in their letters tell me who they were for, yours is the first letter to do so.

you say my TYPICAL response is to tell them (those who disagree) to fuck off. no, it is not my "typical" response and, in fact, was only used once and that was in response to a letter from someone who writes me regularly using different names but i know who she is and that comment was directed at her. she attacks my positions regardless of what they are because of her personal dislike of me. (oddly enough, she owes me money)

i hope that your support for mr. paul goes beyond just writing me letters. are you canvassing for him? making phone calls for him? contributing to his campaign fund? do you have his bumber sticker on your car? if so, good for you. it is citizen participation that makes for good government and anyone who is supporting their candidate with more than words has my support and admiration.

"obviously shallow and evasive" "probably a con man". wow. what insight! a man who, so far, has dedicated himself to helping others is shallow and probably a con man. why, who would have thought that about a man who worked as a community organizer in the projects of chicago except an astute follower of politics and ethics such as yourself? a man who turned down untold riches to work with the poor is shallow? while you are looking up "typical" move over to the s section and look up shallow as well.

i extolled mr. paul's ideas on certain things such as ending the war in iraq and ending the so-called "war on drugs." these are good ideas. however, when i looked more closely at his total package i found myself in too much disagreement to support him.

as to funny...i am not trying to be funny in this blog. i have said that before. you want shock funny, buy one of my c.d's or dvd's or come to one of my shows. that is where i am funny. here i am just writing whatever comes to my mind that particular day. sorry to disappoint you. my fans became my fans when they heard, in some way or another, my comedy, whether at a live show or on xm or sirius radio or someone playing a cd for them not by reading my blog.

Ouch. As we say in Texas, that was a purdy sound ass whuppin' there Ron.
I guess some Ron Paul supporters do tend get a wee bit overzealous at times.
If I might ask politely, (lol) what exactly did you find yourself "in too much disagreement" about with Ron Paul's ideas?
