A RACIST RANT BY KRAMER

michael richards racist rant at the laugh factory was inexcusable. no one could use the words he used over and over again without them being part of his everyday vocabulary. his "that's what you get for interupting a white man" seriously pisses me off. his apology rang hollow as hollow can be. not only that, he is an embarrassment to all stand up comics. comedy should be used to bring us all together, not drive a wedge between us. racism is a disease in the american culture that must be eradicated. i have lived too long and had way too many experiences to believe that any race is superior or inferior to any other. to think otherwise is just plain stupid.

As one professional comedian to another, I am rather taken back by the sentiments you expressed in your blog. You have no idea what I have been going through lately. I have two black servants, and the other night one of them burned the lima beans. Had my dinner been prepared as it should have been, I never would have ranted the way I did. I have performed in comedy clubs thousands of times, and this is the first time I have ever ranted onstage, for normally the food meets with my approval.

I will have you know that I, too, happen to like dogs. As I told my publicist, Howard Rubenstein, I even own a bi-lingual dog. He barks normally when I take him for a walk in the nicer parts of LA, but when we venture into the hispanic section, he barks like a Chihuahua. I usually feed him Kibbles, Bits, and Salsa, and so I think it's fair to say that any racist predilections I might possess do not extend to the world of canines.
