Well, they are consistant...

you gotta give it to the NRA, they are consistant. in today's paper there was an article where the NRA is against a proposal to deny selling a gun to someone who is on the "TERRORIST WATCH LIST."

NRA spokesman, bubba b. bubbabrain, said, "hell, if the damn government won't let a terrorist buy a gun the next thing you know they won't let mentally disturbed homicidal, suicidal koreans buy a gun either. besides, me and my buddies are much better shots than any abdul who comes along to rape our women and sap our precious bodily fluids." as bubba said this he was stroking the barrel of his gun.

the dallas mavericks had the miami heat down two games to zip in the championship last year and then proceeded to lose the next four in a row. this year they completely collapsed against the warriors. can you say, "CHOKE"?

the warrior fans were just great, it would have been loads of fun being there.

i will be pulling for oscar tonight but if i was going to bet it i would have to go with floyd. have purchased the fight and will watch it here at home with buddies.

am filling in dates so check my schedule.

Dear Mr. Shock,

My buddies and I saw one of your shows years ago when we lived in Mississippi, and we thought you were hilarious. But as a lifetime member of the NRA, I have to clarify a few things you said in your blog. First, our spokesman is not "Mr. Bubbabrain"; he happens to be an intelligent and well-educated person. And second, there is a good reason why the NRA is opposed to denying anyone the right to own a gun, even a terrorist.

Here's the reason. The only way for a sinner to redeem himself in the eyes of the Lord is to show that he can now resist the temptation to sin. Allowing a terrorist to buy a gun, and giving him the opportunity to chose whether or not to use it, is like God letting Adam choose whether or not to eat the apple. How else are we to know that a person is truly saved, and has chosen to become a good Christian?

And what if the terrorist cannot be saved, and chooses to use his gun instead? Well, as you pointed out, we are much better shots, and he would end up becoming a Sunni sandwich. Anyway, I hope this clears things up for you.

I fear the government (and especially the Bush administration) more than I fear terrorists. If the government can arbitrarily put you on a list with a scary-sounding name and that is enough to restrict your rights without due process, what's to stop them from making more lists with more restrictions?
